Are you going in with/without experience? van? flatbed? I've been taking the last 18 months off splitting my time between Dallas, Jamaica, and Cancun but it's time to get back to work and Roehl flatbed is top on my list. Will make a decision this week for a November start.
Where are you starting your orientation? I assume GA? -
I will be starting in marshfield. Unexperienced, and van. I have had a class b license for a long time. since the kids are grown i decided to do my thing now. I have driven a bus for the past 13years.

You made a good decision. I went through RDTC at Marshfield this summer, and feel like I got some very good training. The thing I like about Roehl's training is the emphasis they put on safety. That's important for any driver, but especially a new one.
The information comes pretty quickly during the school, but if you just work hard and keep a good, positive attitude, you should do fine. Best of luck! -
It is a great school, it is fast, but if you keep your head in the game, you will do fine. They will teach you the right way, the safe way to do the job. As long as you do what you are told, you will be fine. They have very good instructors that will give you 110% everyday. Don't forget to have alittle fun too while you are at it.

I had a blast at RDTC and had some great instructors..it really prepared me for the Road..but not nearly as much as just doing it..nothing beats first hand experience...

I have been trained safty first schedual second...... that is the KY bus Driver moto. I was excited with this company because it fits. I am a very saftey concious person.
PAoldschool I started learning about roehl from yours and hinsey's post. I feel like I made a very good choice. Can't wait to get there.
However I am a little worried about EVO's with guy trainers. I was assured that there would not be any problems. That is my only worry. I feel pretty confident about everything else. -
U picked a good company. Its all about safety. I'm in gary,in right now going thru flatbed. we lost 5 total his week, were down to 6 left. Plan on being up till 11 doing homework and gettin up at 5am everyday. there is a price to pay for only having a 3 week orientiation. if your not going to put in the effort dont bother coming, you'll be weeded out fast.

My kids are also grown. Plus, the wife just don't care anymore, so going back to the truck should be easier now. I have also been driving a bus (5 yrs), but been out of a truck for 10. I just got my letter today, so I will be up there soon. Shooting for Nov 7th.

OLDSKI..............I always put in 110%. I am not worried about the hours. I am so excited.
BusDriver.............maybe our paths will cross. I hope that going back to the truck will be what you want.
I have always wanted to drive a truck so now I get to see my dream come true. I am so glad that I made the choice to be a driver at ROEHL.
