Good grief, is there any common sense left? Do you like people shooting their brights in your eyes? Hmmmm???
There's a reason that dimmer switch is there.
Using high beams on a divided highway?

wonder how you'd like it if i fired up the two aux lights on either side of the main headlamp at night and then hit the brights?
as a biker, I'll see what's in front of me at night, whether you like it or not. at least I have the consideration not to burn all three unless there aren't any other cars around. -
in indiana, the charge is "failure to dim headlights". it's considered reckless driving, with the same penalties of heavy points and the same fine as reckless driving, and will show up on your driving record the same.
so......... go for it.
maybe you can get some super bright lights for your bicycle.
besides, if everyone else can see with their dim lights, but a certain moron can only function with his brights on, maybe that person doesn't need to be driving anyway. -
I'll also have you know I have been a motorcycle rider in years past, but i am one of those that set my lights properly to see and not blind others.
Low beams on my bike have always been ok for when other are around.
I did have 2 aux light on my shadow years ago. People really didn't like it if I flashed them on my bike,...one of them was a 100Watt landing light. It was wied to my high beam and ONLY used when I really needed to see.
flyingmusician and UFO Thank this. -

I see, or don't cause I'm blinded, this all the time mostly from 4 wheelers. I normally don't flash them cause of the other traffic. Inconsiderate morons. Also whats up with the high beam flash after I'v passed you???? Im looking in my mirrior to be sure it is safe to move back over and what do I get? HIGH BEAMS IN MY EYES!! now instead of the other truck all I see is stars. If you don't know how to flash lights off and on or you don't want to PLEASE do nothing. I've hear said that it is unsafe to flash off and on, Don't know where that came from I've been doing it my whole career and so has many other professional drivers.

It's funny now a days when most new truckers start driving they flash the high beams to let you over well just so they know any time you flash a driver to get over cuz it's clear you should turn off your lights not flash hi beams. Driving down most interstates at night with the road conditions it looks like most trucks lights are constantly flashing so just a heads up please turn off your headlights to signal it's clear to move over . thanks
