What is you pay per mile starting and after 1 year?

 

.25, .28 after 3 months, .31 at 1 year.

 

Thats great, when we had cummins years ago we got a fuel bonus if we got 6mpg, ain't happening unless you cheat, both drivers would have to put in some fuel at the last fuel stop, which would cut out half of your bonus.

The detroits on the other hand would pull that cummins out of site on a steep grade and still get 7mpg with your foot on the floor the whole time.
The trucks were geared 4.10 so at 70mph you were turning 1800rpms with a 9speed overdrive.

Now days they gear them so at 65mph your turning 1350 or 1400 rpms, big difference.

no we are not forced dispatch (after your 90 day probation your free to refuse a load) but as a company driver there is no reason to refuse a load.

I like the company, too... By and large, the folks in Missoula are VERY nice and helpful, but there are a select few whom I'd like to put into a Medieval Torture Device, but for the most part, everyone is great... They KEEP me rolling... I've been averaging 33-3600 miles a week, and NO load I've pulled out of Conover had fewer than 7 stops...

I like my truck, as well... '08 Volvo with about 340K, and that weak ### Volvo engine... Couldn't pull a greasy string out of a chicken's ###, but it's home... Oh, and I have a working APU, so I don't mind pulling Vail Mountain at 25 mph with 46K in a spring-ride trailer... Sure, I had a migraine and blood in my urine from all the bouncing, but still...

 

Oh for heaven's sake, quit complaining about those minor annoyances!

 

I love Watkins Shepard...so far so good!!!

 

I've just started with them...and I would like to know how many miles you guys are averaging?

 

About 400 a day for me...but then again I'm short haul now!
