If you reload at Sara Lee in Pottsville, don't bother showing up to early. I did and they put me in a door right away, just didn't bother to load me till my scheduled appt time time. Were very quick about it tho.

They do this to my hubby CONSTANTLY. he just came through the house today for a whopping 4 hours today because he had put in for hometime( actually 2 days from now)( which they tell him he is required to do) and they sit him out on the road with no load trying to figure out how to get him to Greeley so by the time he gets here his days off were spent waiting to come home. Our difference is he doesn't care really for specific date to come home but is sick of everytime it gets near( which they force him to pick a date) he is left to sit and sit so that by the time he gets here he can't afford MORE days off. wishes it would return like when he was first hired 2 years ago and he was through Greeley frequently and could take his rest break every so often at the house or at least figure out how when its time to swing through Greeley that he not have to wait days in some other city for a load home.

He has in the last 2 weeks been within a hundred miles or less of 3 different plants WAITING!! to get a load and not once picked up one of ours STILL. that is not counting today being in Greeley. Todays load out of Colorado comes from COORS Yet he has been assured by the first of the year we will be hauling 70 percent of our beef loads. They still don't have an agreement with the chicken and pork plants??? That is hard for me to wrap my mind around. How do you not have an agreement with your OWN plants to haul your OWN product??

I know in the last 6 weeks or so they have had 3 ads for CSR...planners and managers so HOPEFULLY they are staffing those areas and figuring this out.

JBS we loved you so much...all we want is when Hubby is out on the road AT WORK he get to work to the full extent of the over regulation imposed by our government and that sitting on his butt time be left for when he comes home. Or for when you could actually get him up to 70 and he need to restart That loads can not usually be seamlessly planned one to another everytime is understandable BUT this waiting for a day or 2 for the next PP or to give a PP to a driver who has already been sitting for a day or 2 that doesn't pick up for ANOTHER day or 2 and only requires 300 -400 miles a day is TOO MUCH for anyone to handle on a regular basis. PLEASE we so want to love you again!!!

OK thats it for the rant from us :biggrin_2554::biggrin_25526:

I don't believe its there concern of the freight. I believe its there lack of knowledge when it comes to their job.

If it wasn't for my exceptional ability to route plan and invent new ways of running ELOGS I don't think I'd ever be on time. They sit you for 5 hours somewhere as you're working against your 14 HOS then give you a ppl. Again, I am SURE it has nothing to do with freight but EVERYTHING to do with NOT BEING COMPETENT in the scope of their job..

There's no way to be that bad at load planning company wide if it was anything else. IMHO

Wow Florida??? I thought we where not hiring in Florida??? The things in red are not even given to the trainers now. Although maybe the all miles the truck runs means something different to them than it does me or maybe that is for the trainers who accepted the 2 cents pay program later. I was so shocked reading this I just tried to call Hubby.

I'm gonna make a personal trip to Greeley and get ALL this taken care of. Two weeks with firing and hiring authority and the problems with J.B.S will be fixed completely. An ELITE carrier would follow!

Randy, GONE! No disrespect intended but this is J.B.S. and every driver out here knows and thinks the company he came from is dung; do not try and emulate crap it doesn't work and will turn J.B.S. CARRIERS into another CRST or SCHNEIDER.

Second, who's ever in charge of planners, GONE! If they can't take the time to properly train and evaluate them or they themselves are incompetent in planning, they need to go. The problem is I actually think they believe they are doing a good job.

Whoever allowed CSRs to PPL, GONE! CSRs have NO business trying to do something which is such a vital role and has such an impact on the company which they are NOT qualified to handle, nor have the appropriate access to the software which should be implemented in this area. Either they get trained or removed completely from the process.

FM's and DM's, retraining, personality tests and a broader understanding of what it is you are to the driver and what the driver is to J.B.S. If they don't meet standards or are blatantly obtuse, then GONE!

Next, plants taken back by J.B.S. and TOLD their employees better perform and their supervisors need monthly evals. This may happen but the "good ol boy" mentality would end.

Some waiting has to do with product availability. Make contracts with smaller farms and hold to them. When a load is less then ready or truck is far from delivery you could have a J.B.S. truck locally go and load from local farm. This would keep inventory handy but not at a loss on profits and also help a small business grow.

Everyone I've mentioned would be given a very short grace period to shape up or they would be GONE!

IF THEY DON'T KNOW THEIR PLACE OR THEIR JOB THEY NO LONGER NEED BE EMPLOYED WITH WHAT WILL BECOME AN ELITE CARRIER. WE ARE NOT TRYING TO MAKE THIS ANOTHER MEDIOCRE COMPANY, I AT LEAST WANT GREATNESS, THEN SUPERIOR, THEN ELITE!

I bust my arse out here not only for myself but for the vision of what trucking used to be. I will bring RESPECT back to my profession and will mold an ELITE company with my experience if its the last thing I do..

    ;-)
