A friend of mine called me today and asked me where he could hire someone to haul several loads of hay from AR to TN. I couldn't begin to tell him where to start, other than just call the flatbed companies at random. Is there a better way to shop for rates? Where would one begin? Any websites would be helpful (if that's legal here). I don't wanna start a war.....If what I'm asking is not permissable, I apologize in advance.

It has been my experience that any time a "friend" asks me where to "hire a trucker", he is usually expecting me to provide that service for free, or close to it. That is why I always tell them: "Look in your local phone book."

Ask some of the O/O. They would have more info I would imagine. It's crazy that I have no idea how that works but I really don't. I need to get educated.....geesh
