I will be going to Schneider training next month, and am wondering what kind of truck I should expect to get. I know they run Freightliner Century Class, but does anyone know what they give to new drivers? Will it be an old junker, or something in fairly good shape?

What i normally do when getting assigned a new truck is inspect it, Have someone else inspect it and then take pictures with my digital camera. I make sure that the pictures show the date and time on them and then save them. that way if the company says there is damage to the vehicle that was not there when you got the truck i can say different. i have pictures to prove that it was.

I had the pleasure of meeting a former Schneider driver who left after 4 months, they kept the driver down south without a working air conditioner, by May it was too much to stand, so make sure the HVAC is working, all of the preceding posters have good insight, as well.

I'll remember to take pictures and make a thorough inspection. Does anybody know if Schneider's equipment overall is kept up well? What is the average age of their trucks?
