I lived in norco for while until we sold our 1/2 acre and bought here in Hemet.
I'm going for flat that's what I did before I stopped driving this last stretch. They say that once you get to flats you can pull and haul anything. That's what the old timers say anyways. LOL!!!!

It's not a matter of being offered it. I was never offered it, I told them I wanted flatbed, so that's what I'm doing.DenaliDad Thanks this.

Flats is more challenging. Maneuvering and securment can be difficult sometimes.

If I sign on with Prime as a brand new driver going into their CDL training program, do I have to sign a lease or can I go Company Solo? Forgot to ask Tiffany when I called there this morning.
-
You can go company solo once you complete all the necessary training and miles.SLAUGHTERBACK Thanks this.

Well, that eases my mind a little, not going until next spring, but wanted to make sure since the recruiter said to go ahead and send in an app and they will send me an orientation letter and set me up with a date if everything is good on my end. Thanks!
-
What is the $150 your supposed to bring to orientation for? Is that for the physical?
-
If you are a D seat there is a $100 non refundable fee. If you will be getting your class A permit in MO. you need $32.50 for that. If you already hold a class B license you will need to pay $50.
Sevendogs Thanks this. -
Physical, whiz quiz and permit. But I don't know the particulars of pricing on each.Sevendogs Thanks this.

What are your thoughts on how much before "start day" one should apply? It's now mid-October and I am not available until January. Is it too early to apply?
