There was some cold storage place I went to that had a sign that they would take cell phones at the gate but they never do. What I couldn't figure out was what could possibly be the big deal there. It was only a cold storage warehouse not a plant. Am I going to steal their company secrets that they use forklifts to move pallets and place them in rows?

I believe you're confusing Arkansas with Mississippi! :yes2557: (I would respond with an Indiana joke, but the state is so obscure, I don't know anything about it :smt102)

As i have 4 keys, I dont care, Hand them the one in my hand, go back to my truck, if it summer and hot, truck will be idling, If it winter and cold, truck will be idling, I had employee come up ti me and say, "Sorry, but you have to shut down your truck, there is a driver room inside", Thats when I say, "Ok, just let me get my dog, and I'll go in there", They usaully say, the dog cant go in there, I then tell them, Well i guess I'm going to have to call the police to report the cruel treatment your forcing me to put my animal in, sence i cant take the dog out of the truck, I cant idle, and It's extremely hot, thats when they walk away

Wow, perfect response! I heard it is illegal to idle in California unless you have a pet onboard?!

Is that hoax still running rampant? There is NO state with an idle law that allows the truck to idle if there is an animal in it. Not a single one! You will still get ticketed for idling or for crulety to animals depending on which one applies at the time.

If you want to carry your pet then you'll need to get a CARB compliant APU for Goofiefornia and any other state or city.

Sure I'll hand over my keys. I've got a spare with me, so I'll just turn it to the auxillary setting so I can turn the air on in the bunk while I snooze.

Give them dummy keys and tell them you dont have a cell phone, you threw it out the window cause it broke.

The gladhand lock is a much better solution, so is completely disconnecting. But taking keys is stupid, what geniuses thought of this? Duh we all have spares. lol. idiots.

No, it's illegal to leave a pet in an unattended motor vehicle, idling or not.
Sorry...you can't idle in California longer than 5 minutes for ANY reason.
