Look here, you tried and failed. Watkins IS a great company but their training program isn't for everyone. 10 days isn't a lot of time and if you are a slow learner then this isn't the company for you. Some people need 3-6 months with a trainer holding their hand, tucking them in at night, and coddling them the whole time. If you are that person, this isn't the company for you. If you have thin skin and can't take a joke or barbing, this isn't the industry for you. But to not be able to take a joke about a crappy hat with the logo of a crappy team on it gives you no right to talk ####e about our, scratch that, MY company. Why don't you take your little thin skin over to the cre board since you never worked here.

I don't know...something about CR Englands motto on the back of their trailers concerns me....

    LEASE
    TRAIN
    DRIVE

seems to me it's in the wrong order :biggrin_2554:

still gotta find out what the joke was, my sister is a diehard Sox fan so I'd like to hit her with it! :yes2557:

Well, from my perspective...I've been reading the Watkins/Shephard threads for about two years. In that time, I have read thousands of positive comments from many of their employees. You TOM are one of only two or three I can recall that had negative comments. I have never met you but in reading your comments, I think Watkins/Shepard did the right thing by sending you home. Good luck at England. Time to toughen up a little I think...:biggrin_25523:

You act like you are the first one to not make it through their training. Others have failed but yet you seem to try to say you were mislead or something. Obviously if you had read all the threads here and maybe used a little common sense you would have realized this. Not everyone can hop in a truck right after school on their own. You didn't make the cut, move on to another company. Heck if you had doubts before you got there you shouldn't have gone.

Also quit whining about your red sox hat. I'm a diehard Sox fan and we don't whine when people joke about us. We tell them to stick up their arse! :biggrin_25525:

Personally if Watkins was willing to hire you, your options are way better than England, but hey that's your choice and good luck with that.

Pardon me if I change the subject for a moment or two. I seem to recall a reference in several recent W/S threads implying that the company added some KW's to their fleet. Is that true? If so, would some current drivers share some specifics such as:
    • What model - (T600 or 660; T-2000; W-900L) ?
    • Power - (Cat; Cummins) ?
    • Transmission - (9; 10; 13 speed; automatic) ?
    • Interior option - (VIP: button-tuck, or Platinum: pleated) ?
    • What Carrier did W/S purchase them from ?
    • Any with APU's ?
    • Average mileage and condition of the units ?
    • Are they all the usual Red ?
Thank you to any who are able to reply!!

A smart man learns from adversity, failure and setbacks, Tom doesn't seem to fit that description, instead took it personally and has become vindictive...It's very telling of his personality and shows WS made the right decision...

Just the thought of that made me try my hardest to get hired by WS...Just randomly being told to share a confined space with someone I don't know goes against every fiber in me...
