Sorry, I should have gave a detailed description of how to float gears to experienced truck drivers instead of a vage description![]()
Anyhow, you ever watch DC Cab? I work for the DC Cabs of oilfield trucking. Yes, I have driven without a speedometer and a with broken tachometer. Now don't be jealous if you can't do it
Here is a thread I started if you want to know what I do and a couple of pictures as well.

I'm happy you gained feelings in your left leg and able to work again but don't give me grief about my company's policy! If they want me to float gears, I'm going to float gears. As for my knees, you can actually wear knees out permeantly and at the same time limited on knee replacements. I've actually know a young lady who had to have both knees replaced because of running. My mother recently had one of her knees replaced. A prostectic knee has a life of about 7-10 yrs and you can only replace them 1-2 times. So ya, I take it easy on my knees. I get plenty of exercise as well through Martial Arts, Mountain bike, and hike.
