Oo, oo! I want one too! Well, I'll be happy with something that runs and doesn't have fleas. heh, heh. Especially no fleas.

I am not sure what the Italians think of the age old question but i shall do some research and find out. I do know i don't think it was the rooster !!! haha
Chad it will prob be Dennis making you some good steak because I wont be there for another month unless some plans of mine change. In this case good things come to those who wait so a month a shall wait=]
BTW medium rare good man so we all agree we don't like hockey pucks for steaks!!!
Chad you are soooooo lucky you got a new truck i hope i am lucky enough to have something decent like that but like Dennis said I'll be glad to get something that works and is clean. one step at a time i guess . I have been studying the Texas CDL manual and taking rpactice test on the computer and i have been passing them!!! I hope the test i get at the taxes DMV aren't much different
Here is a question I've been thinking about because i always here that truckers make there own schedule and have no "boos" over them. how true is that really I mean truckers are on a schedule so its not like you drive when you want to. is it? I ask because I like to drive i guess you could say early morning and during the day if possible, it not i mean i will drive at night. it that a reality that i can make for myself or not? either way I'll drive when i need to drive if night or day.
oh does anyone know if there is a terminal near Orlando because i don't think my apartment complex allows trucks to park hereLast edited: Oct 25, 2011

To answer your question about being your own boss, in some ways you are and some ways you are not. You run like you want, days nights just making sure the loads on time. But the ways you are not, your not picking where you go, they set the appointment times. It's all about time management out here, oh and that thing they call common sense. If you can manage your time and have just alittle common sense you will do fine out here.
lionheart0901 Thanks this. -
Oh and the new truck I didn't start out with it trust me on that.
lionheart0901 Thanks this. -
Well as long as i can get a decent working truck i'll be happy
Thanks again Chad -
It took me all of 2 months out on my own to score a dedicated run!! 2500-2700 miles a week and bumping about 10 docks a week @ $25 each. And......home every weekend. A 34 hour restart one weekend and 2 days off the next weekend.
It seems the secret to doing well at FFE is just shutting up, stay under the radar and do your job. Try and solve problems on your own and only contact the company if you have no other option.
Stay friendly with Dave Bilbo at the academy, and after proving your not a idiot, whiner, or troublemaker. Dave will do his best to set you up with a nice position.
I can safely say I have had very few issues with the company, and none with the school. Now there is a steep learning curve, but once you learn who to contact to solve certain issues it is smooth sailing.
BTW Playmaker has a bit of Chrome envy!!!! Ohhh my catwalk and chain rack are polished now...Bling Bling.Spacecoast, akdennnis, lionheart0901 and 3 others Thank this. -
Hey all I know its been quite a while since I posted on here but I'm in the academy right now. Doing my second week of training. Everything has been pretty great for me while here. Only gripe I have is not being able to get enough sleep.
Other then that just doing the lessons and maneuvers as I'm told to do them.
Hoping that I'll be able to get something good myself like you Spat once I'm out on my own. Catch you later guysTHE PLAYMAKER Thanks this.
