You don't have to split all the time, only when you need the half step.

gotcha, So im taking there is more then one way to shift...Seems splitting with a heavy load would be unnecessary?? I was just making sure im not hurting the truck..?

like with my twin stick mack,,,,everyone tells me i need to use to hands, use both sticks at once, put your hand through the steering wheel....I pull very easy just running 1-5 on 1 stick and in 4 on the other, then bump it up to 5 high.....??

You got it! You only split if a full shift is more than it'll pull.

So today I was able to test it out...I feel very dumb never spitting in any other gear then 5 high.....everything was great pulling up the switch, but when I pushed it back in that bad boy did not want to engage...A little rumbling and no power for a few seconds,,,,,,And the trick with my truck is that she only like to split at low rpms,

When you split down, you have to make sure you're bringing the rpm up, with the transmission in gear and the clutch engaged. Think of how you would have to do it if it was a lever, and not just a button.

I have had a 16 Spicer, 32 Brownlite, I fell to my knees when the 13 over came out and said thanks! Drive it son, the only way to learn. :)

I think I skipped the clutch part...So no clutch when pulling up, clutch when pushing back down... I think that settles it
