i plan on doing 57-60 when i go solo after doing 53-57 since psd and seeing how the mpg averaged we did better @ 57
-
Depends on the load. He got up in the 8s several times

Next time you're starting out on a cold day, pop the hood and start by tightening all the clamps on your air-to-air.
Play with it a little bit. Reset the MPG counter on your dash display when you start out for the day. Obviously flat land, no wind, same temp, identical load weights help... but you get the point. Drive at different speeds and see what it does for you. Oh yeah, tire inflation is really important.
PV=nRT
P=T(nR/V)
P=kT (k=nR/V) $$$$
Ralieghs theorem relating temperature, pressure and volume of a gas. Not really accurate for rocket science, but works well enough for tires. Basically says the pressure (P) in your tires is roughly equal to a constant (k) times temperature (T) if the volume (size of the tire) doesn't really change. On a cold day it pays to check your tire pressure before starting out.Last edited: Oct 30, 2011

This is my first solo run... Im just trying to A) not screw up, n B) Feel out the truck. Im used to the Cascadia, but not this particular truck.
-
So start feelin' her up!

I will. This is a big change for me. After months of having someone right there making all the decisions, now I get to make them. Wanted to get down here, was also in a hurry to find a parking spot before all the solar powered drivers took um all. Im get settled in soon, then work on gettin a big fuel bonus

IP it was my last trainers truck but ill keep that in mind when i go solo

This is why I drive at night lol That way, while the parking lots are full, I dont need one. When they empty out, I can choose one I like best
