Well I don't do the anti idle enforcement. So I don't know the ins and outs. I guess I would contact the Dallas authorities to voice my concerns.

Had a driver today that made me shake my head. Stated he was running local and had been about 75 miles away to a decent size city. He has reeipts on the dash, along with his bills of the last load he just dropped off. I ask to see them and the bills showed him as the driver, with his signature over 400 miles away. I ask for his log book and he states he didn't need one he was local now. Uh huh.,....:biggrin_25513:. After I explained everything to him, he states that he thought once he got back within 100 miles he could toss the log book. Where do they find these people and these regulations? :biggrin_2554::biggrin_25520:

I've seen some who usually were 100 AMR drivers and legitimately believed that on a day they needed to go outside the radius they did not need to start logging until just prior to exiting the radius (Wrong), but your guy seems to peg the stupidometer.

In the original (2008) proposal the idle marshalls(?) Were to be properly trained to not write a citation when an exemption exists(being the mandated rest break). I agree with DB call city hall and talk with them. The way I read their original plan(It was changed some by the Texas Legislature recently but shouldn't change the sleeper break exemption) no ticket should be issued unless no exemption exists.

What you should have done is take the ticket put it in your pee bottle take a whizz on it and then pour it back at his feet.

    Here is one from today.
Driver suspended, no med card, no log book.
Improper registration, no IFTA, no markings.
Overwidth, over length, trailer brakes inoperative, window tint measures 6%.

You would think a person would have to purposely try to get that much wrong at a time.:biggrin_25521:
