I'm thinking of getting a new TV for the truck, under 19". What TV out there can handle the pounding of the truck? It also needs to have HDMI and a jack for head phones. It also needs to work in Canada and the US. Canada is still mostly analog.
What TV should I get?

Not one response? All I want is a TV that can handle the trucks up and down pounding. Someone must have a TV that works well in the truck. What brand is it?

I hav a 16 vizio and it does real well in the truck. I got a 6" 90deg corner brace from home depot and screwed it to the bottom of a shelf then mounted a tv wall bracket to it. The brace flexes enough to absorb the vibration from the truck. We run team n the tv is still very watchable while in motion.

I run a Vizio Razor 22" with a Vizio blu-ray player with built in wi-fi. Cost about 200 bucks for both. Picture quality is phenomenal.
Cheaper than the truck stop TV's which might be good as well, but dont do blu-ray or digital co-ax or optical out for rockin 7.1 DTS-HD audio.
I just put a cover over it and use bungies to hold it secure while driving. Id like to mount it, Ill work on that. -
I use a Dell laptop because I have a JET from T-Mobile. Then I have my Netflix account...life's good.
san45bar Thanks this. -
I was going to get a laptop with a blu-ray player, but I couldnt afford it. That would be easier. But I got a good deal on my TV set up, so I said what the heck. I end up using my laptop more than the TV though...eh

I had a Phillips 19". It fit perfect where it wedged in the covey hole. That TV been to hell and back and kept on ticking. I had it in the truck 3 years and recently sold it because I'm home now. If you compare TV's side by side, you'll notice a big picture difference is why I bought it. That and the price.
Back in the spring, I bought a new TV for the house. I took a chance and bought a Hanns Spree off Walmart.com because of the sale price, good reviews and I knew they made high end computer monitors. That's all Sweden does is make electronics. I am very pleased with it. -
Laptop is the way to go.

The Naxa's, Skyworth and RCA's (all ac and 12 volt) all work well in the trucking environment.

I have a 22" Vizio Razor LED 1080p, that I run off a 100w cigarette lighter inverter...
Great TV, but I honestly never use it, I just watch everything on my laptop
