i wouldnt know as this winter will be my 1st but my trainer and fleet manager both mentioned the mpg goes down in the winter with all of the additives that are in the fuel(anti gel etc) so i was always suggested to have good driving habits and high during the warmer months so you dont do as bad in the winter

L/O or O/O = Fuel is biggest expense. Keep that on the down low, more $$ in your pocket.

Company = Fuel bonus = more money in your pocket

Cost control is the biggest component to any business.

They did a year ago! Everything was looser during the winter - they average it across three-week periods, so one bad week isn't going to get you the firing squad!

The thing to do is to learn how to get great mileage at the start. Stay off of the throttle (you don't need to "floor it" on an entrance ramp,) learn how to run hills off of the cruise, drive only as fast as you have to... especially when deadheading. Use the top end of your speed range only when you need it. Then, when you have those bad days (cold, windy, mountains, snow) and you burn more fuel it won't hit you as badly.
