We gotten around a inch of rain so far. Why is rain good for the oil field companies? This will really help the wheat, if it keeps up all winter will be really busy this summer.

They send water and drilling mud down into the drill pipe to keep the drill bit cool while drilling. Frac tanks store the water on location or they will have a pit. If you drive by a drilling rig you may see plastic pipe from the drill site down the ditches for miles to a pond. They are pumping water from the pond to the rig. The land owner gets paid for the water. One land owner got a free very large pond built on his property along with a gravel road to it because the drilling company needed water close to the rig so they built the pond and trucked water into it, after the rain it is full. Since all this drilling has really went crazy so has the price of water and pretty much everything associated with drilling.

I need that in my sleeper. International has no concept of proper space utilization.

Worked for a ag center spraying crops for 11 years & literally starting out had directions turn by the barn that burned down. Later in the day when I asked about it, the long time guys could remember it being there, but no one could name when, 15-20 years??? So yeah, know exactly the sort of directions one gets finding fields.

Well boys,i had me a nice little 45 minute delay on the Western Ky. Parkway thursday at mile marker 125 with our friendly ''dot'' :biggrin_25524:,and his new shiney little portable scales and a Level 2 ''walk around''. He ask me what i had on and i told him ''corn'' so he ask me ''do you have any idea what your weight is?''and i told him i should be right around 79,500 and he just grinned and said,''well, were gona find out,i'm gona weigh ya and see" so he proceeded to wag them heavy portables around while me and ''Molly'' ate peanuts and beef jerky:biggrin_2559:. When he got done he came back to cab, climbed up on molly's side and said,''well, you nailed it,your 79,540,have a good day and drive safe.'' Chalk one up for the good guys:biggrin_255:,ya'll have a good weekend.

Last time I had portable used on me I was 82,000, it cost me $260, it's been a number of years ago. Last week was dead but will be hauling wheat this week for a while. I'll bet you anything that dot guy figured he had you way overweight.

Yeah , they patrol the WK pretty well . About a month ago I was bobtailing EB on I-24 and got pulled around at the scale for a Level 1 . When I passed and I asked about the decal he told me they were out of decals .:biggrin_25510:

CVSA must not have the little stickers in the budget because I heard the same thing last year in Texas and Oklahoma doesn't have any this year. Guess we need to print up our own.
