if you lie, are accepted to orientation and start out on the road, would they continue to do checks on you? I'm talking about criminal things, not driving record.

IMHO, it's just best not to lie about anything. They have a way of coming back to bite ya.

biggest thing is , if they find out and they will eventually, you just might find yourself alongside some truckstop with all your stuff trying to figure away to get home and you could be days away from home. then what ?

why would they do periodic checks while you're already with them rather than before they hire you? also, if you're already doiing good with them , why would they fire you? why not just say, Hey he's doing good, I dont see any problem here.

they do periodic checks to make sure you haven''t gotten pulled over and got a ticket or if anything has changed since they hired you. and why won't they say that ? cause they can and basiclly it's the law and they could be fined for some big money. remember they don't need you, you need them.

If you LIE, it gives them one more reason to fire you. Plus they can always put this on your DAC record. In the future, if you have anything you DON'T want to put on your application, it is always BEST to put: "Will Discuss During Interview". Many times they won't even ask you. But if they do, tell the truth......always.

it's not wrong for them to check on you and validate your history...it's wrong for you to be dishonest about your history...:!:

I can't see how you could lie and not get caught before your hired . If your hired and they do a background check wouldn't they find everything there is on your record ??

If you have to be bonded as a truck driver, then that trucking company will do periodic checks on your background.
I have to go thru this very thing as I am bonded where I work.

We never know about the checks as they are not mentioned unless they have to be.

I understand what you are saying. I feel that when someone makes a mistake they should be given a chance. But Society has it to where you make a mistake you pay for your life attitude. NOT fair at all.
I know a couple people who have a felony and they are great people. They learned from their mistakes and have done very well.

It's best to not lie as mentioned, it comes back to haunt ya big time.
