I'm looking into choosing a company sponsored CDL program but don't have the money for ANY up front costs, my family is slowly sinking and I gotta do something and would love to drive I need advice on who is the better choice I applied at Swift, Prime, Stevens wouldn't take me because I only had one job in the last 2 years because of this stupid economy. So just need advice if there is any one else that I could possibly try?:biggrin_2556:

Funny you should say that. My wife and 3 kids seem to be doing fine.

You do know the .22/mi is only for 3 months right? And I am not a defender of the company but for the cost of school, its not a real bad trade off.

Now let me know what you consider a fair wage for 2 years OTR is and then I will determine if I am being treated "fair"

Yeah, I read that, and you are also going flatbed and SHOULD be getting paid higher...you didn't answer the question on what you believe a fair wage is for 2 years OTR...and I am not picking a fight, I legit would like to know what your opinion is.

2 years OTR pulling a Van/reefer .36-.40cpm. (just a side note for the lower end there should be some good accesorial pay, good miles, good benefits, D/H, nice trucks, good CSA score, etc to make up for the low cpm.) <- not saying all of those things but some of them at least
