That was my question too! I am about to go out with a company and it's been 2yrs since i completed my Class A Driving School, but the company recognizes my school as being very good and The safety Dept. did an over-ride on my need for a refresher course.

Wow, that's a pretty bold move for a company.

Not really, I will be out with a trainer for a few weeks so i guess they see that as being safe. Not quite sure who's driving when and for how many hrs a day, but this is getting to be winter so I can see how you might see this as a bold move on the companies part. I'm nervous for sure, but gotta take the oportunities as they come. I have had a rough time getting on with a company and after repeated apps, I'm finally being given a shot at it. I will not do anything in an unsafe manner!
    Wish me good luck.

I hope you understand but I do not believe in nor do I wish new drivers any luck. I do however hope that all works out well for you.

I understand your point....being lucky isn't the same as being safe. I certainly will do all that is within My power to be safe out there.
    Thank You dibstr!

@fatbio: Did you get any driving experience since 07'? If not, a refresher course of 120 hours or better will be needed. Companies typically give you 6 months after you get your CDL to drive for a company without a refresher being needed.
