If I didn't have a sense of humor I'd went crazy by now....wait....nevermind

you heat them when you have to stop at the top. look at mt. eagle. you pull in amd stop untill the.light turns green. do you think your brakes cool back off from that stop in the time the light is red?
-
stop at top of passes because it easier to get back up to speed going downhill as opposed to starting up hill.

I thought the sand pit was a game to see how far you could get your truck in there?
striker Thanks this. -
If its summer time I try to plan my trips so I can take my 10 or 8 at the top and enjoy a nice cool night for free

Look at the purty scenery! That's why I stop.

Just had a friend tell me he found his jakes weren't working while coming down the Cascades. Fumbling around, he bumped the clutch and the jakes came on. Apparently the spring on the clutch pedal was weak or the switch was poorly adjusted. Something to consider after you start down that grade.

Can't say I've been over that 1. Maybe I drive different. Unless I have to I don't touch the brakes til I stop. Drop gears and let nature slow me.

OK he didn't check them before dropping off the mountain?
