Geez, Cornelius.
Not everybody on the road is out to get you or swearing you out when they flash their lights at you. To them, it might be them saying "by your leave" or some other politeness.
Often times, I will flash "thank you" to the car that let me in to pass you, while I am still in the hammer lane and getting ready to return to the Granny lane.
Stop looking for insults from everybody. Your blood pressure will go down if you realize most of the time, they aren't saying "f you."
A simple request

Ahhhh....road rage....glad I'm off now and this weekend
corneileous Thanks this. -
Geez, I must've figured out how to display emotion on here just by the words I type and and how I type them and didn't even know I knew how to do it.....
But in regards to the conversation at hand, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to, 90% of the time, know who is flashing the "thanks for nothing" flash.
As I said, its pretty easy to tell when you're getting the "thanks for nothing" flash..... Well, at least for me it is. I spose if you drive a 62 mile an hour truck as much as I have, getting passed by lots of trucks faster than you are, it don't take long for those "skills" to develop. -

I use my brights during the day and flick my headlights off at night. And I get passed a whole hell of a lot.
-
I never flash unless it's a two lane road.
I hate those that use their brights.hrdman2luv Thanks this. -
Ah, Cornelius. You're a young man. The reason I wait until my pass is nearly complete is, I am also saying to the trucker, "By your leave." I had no idea anyone would take it in the manner you do.
And, you do remember whose authority I run under and whose logo besides my own is on my truck? -
