food and water obviously....but when it comes to appliances...

    fridge.microwave.cell phone.laptop.4g wifi device.toaster.coffee maker.

these pretty much allow me to only be at a truck stop when i need fuel!

I also carry some one time throw away bbq's...great for cookin up some steak.
doing it often though you may be better off with a real one!

Warm sleeping bag....great for winter, even if you have a wabasobunk heater or apu...they or even the trunks motor can fail...warmth is needed for safety and comfort....
a 12volt fan that plugs into the cigrette lighter is great for summer...got one that fits in the window great at target last summer....had a 12 plug, and a 12v ac/dc nrick adaptor..
So just vought the cigrette lighter plug after reading the info on it... worked great, cheaper by lots than a truckstop fan...
    Xm radio is great....

Smart phone...great to surf the net quick....faster than getting a computer out...
    12v cooler....
12v lunchbox cooker is great too...

the lunch box oven was the first cooking method i had...made awesome stuff lol. then i got my lil camping grill and then it was ON!! haha. i gave the oven to a driver in need. i bought the colman cooler/fridge for like $98 and it was small butit fit in the cabinet and kept things cold real well....dang thing froze my fruit and veggies tho lol.

i can remember when an ice chest was the only thing to keep things cool. standing in line for a phone. calling the consignee to get diractions if you ate from the truck it was sanmiches or can stuff. I did learn to cook on the turbo. that made life good. when you got laid over it was the tv room in the truckstop or a book in your cabover. I can remember a time when I would have killed for a/c. I have slept in the refer trailer with the unit running many times. I remmeber a time when there were no woman showers.

My coffee maker is a "need", everything else is a want.
I want and have all the electronics. But could get by with, phone, map, a good book, and the coffee maker.
If you drink coffee, at 1.50 it more in.the truckstops, that coffee maker will save a bundle.
I make a pot, and fill my mug, and thermos, then go trucking.
Do wish xm still had nascar and wfo.

    Maybe too, Prepass, Ezpass, Pikepass.
I so like not having to stop and pay tolls, or hit the scales.
