Company drivers are not allowed to modify their trucks... If you want a fridge installed it must be done by the shop. Same goes for mounted TVs.

    No unathorized holes drills, etc.

They told us we could. You just have to pay for each hole. It's $5/hole I believe.

You can't do anything crazy, but you're aloud to mount your fridge and TV. Though in all honesty, Prime does it a lot cleaner and if they screw up its not your fault. Better to not risk it.

They did a great job on my TV. folds back into the cabinet... nice solid metal plates sandwich the side of the cabinet... when stowed, the TV hasnt moved an inch in over two weeks while driving.

Ive got a nice solid metal non-drill mount I bought off another driver. Never used it. It hooks into the top bunk and rests the TV against the back wall. snug, no movement. thumb screws with pads secure it to the bunk tray. I didnt like the TV on the back wall... crappy angle. I guess if someone can rig another mount to it, the swivel action might make better use of it.

Ya thats what I mean. My trainers TV was mounted with bungee straps.

I'm guessing you have to pay for the TV mounting and provide the hardware? Or do they give there own hardware and such? Was planning on getting mine mounted when I'm back in SpringMo.

You buy the mounting brackets from the company store and bring it in with your truck for the appointment. They charge your truck for the install... and it comes out of your settlement. I think it was $45.

I didnt get charged yet... maybe they did it for free because they had to clean my truck a 2nd and 3rd time.

My truck was used... I got it spotless except 2 shelves had sticky mess probably because they were missing the "felt"... 3rd shelf was slimy and gooey. They took care of 2 shelves when they installed the TV and later after pointing out the 3rd shelf was clearly on the work order also, they apologized and fixed that.

I will just have my computer as my tv. I will have wireless internet and use a laptop stand that hooks to the bolts on the passenger seat.:biggrin_25525:

Well got to drive through the evil white stuff.... None on the road though lol Kind of starting to scare myself, and DA1 lol, for some reason I seem to be getting accustomed to cold. Lol. Three more drops on this load n its finished. Hoping to finish by early Friday so I can get a good long run over the weekend. If I can get another 1500 mile run that finishes by Tuesday I'll have over 3000 miles for the week. Had over 2600 paid miles last week so were doin good so far. I love bein solo! I love trucking! Now its time for bed lol
