Wow! 11 hours. You are the man for sure. I don't like having to stop either but when nature calls....

I may have to lay off the coffee for sure. I am so use to drinking it a lot during the day where I work at because there is always a pot made. Can't do nothing about getting older though :biggrin_25523:

It's not that hard to hold it for 9 hours if you watch what you take in. Sweet tea will have me stopping every 2 hours plus I've had kidney stones twice from sweet tea so I stay away from it. Coffee will make me have to stop once about 3 hours after I drink it, then I'm good for the rest of the day. It's an exercise in controlled mild dehydration. If you stay well hydrated you will have to stop much more often. Get too dehydrated and you cramp up. There is a balance between the two.

Delivered to Greer, SC. yesterday morning...from there I deadheaded to Tyger River Correctional Institute in Enoree, SC. to pickup flooring to deliver to Shaw in Dalton, GA. Made delivery last night and parked for the night at Pilot in Dalton, GA.

How does that work out with being with a trainer? For example, I typically need to go every 3 hours, 4 would be a stretch. If I got a trainer that liked to drive 8,9, 10 hours without stopping, what would be the best way to handle that situation? I would not want to have to ask him to stop every 3-4 hours, even if it was for a few minutes, because I know he is trying to get as many miles in as he can.

I know this probably sounds like a crazy concern but it was just something I thought of and wondered how you guys work out restroom breaks being in a truck all day. Once I was out on my own it would not be an issue. It would just be the 6-8 weeks with a trainer that might be rough.

I know what you mean about the stones. I had those 3 years ago. Talk about some pain!

When you are with your trainer and you need to go just ask them to stop and they should. If they refuse to I would be on the phone with millis as its not good for you to hold for long periods of time. If they tell you to go in a bottle I would also call Millis as there is no reason for it doesn't take but 10 to 15 minutes to stop to use the rest room. Now if they ask you to wait a little bit till they get to customer or fuel stop that is different.

Sorry, let me clarify bottle thing was for emergencies, (it happens) I got stuck on the Tappan Zee Bridge in NY for 4 hours because of an accident the bridge was shut down after driving for 3 hours and let me just say I never used that coffee mug again. LOL

LOL, thats funny! I believe its a good question though. When your with your trainer something as simple as that could cause some issues. I believe these should be discussed in advance of your initial trip. Myself, I have used the bottle before, but thats not saying I will again. The circumstances warranted a 10 run, without stops.

My experience with my Trainer is he is a freak of nature. He can hold it forever it seems, but myself on the other hand need to go every 3 hours or so. The worst is when I am in the bunk sleeping, he is driving, and I wake up. You guys gotta know what I am talking about! There has never been an issue with bathroom breaks. He is very accomadating. Just my two cents.

    ricrey99 and wulfman75 Thank this.

Thank you for the positive reply. I was afraid I might be sounding like a sissy.

I have heard of that. I would definitely keep one for emergencies. I got caught in a bad ice storm 2 years ago trying to get home up I-85. Thank God I had a large McDonalds cup laying around! Filled that thing to the brim :biggrin_2559:

Well then Whitey and LB must be freaks of nature :biggrin_2559:
    Just kidding guys :biggrin_25525:

Mojo, sounds like you have a great trainer. Good to hear.

Thanks Spanky. That makes me feel better.
