As others have said, truck doesn't move until fixed... However, I would do this:
Take photos... and lots of them of the tires from many angles and make sure the tread wear can be seen... close up photos ect.
If company fires you for not driving and unsafe truck... collect unemployment... and have the photos ready if the company doesn't want to pay you unemployment(then find a new job)
Good luck

I've worked for companies that would take a DVIR seriously and I worked for companies that would look at the report and if they didn't like it, they would crumble it up and throw it in a trash can.
Quitting jobs is not always easy either. I've seen drivers live in their trucks. Then they get trapped with low paychecks. No where to go and can't afford the change over. They basically live day to day.
Some of you forget, if you get all demanding and become a problem employee in their eyes, they ain't gonna fire you. They'll simply make life miserable and starve you out until you quit. It's alot cheaper than paying unemployment.
Every company has some kind of chain of command. If you don't agree with someone, you go to their boss. Sometimes their boss doesn't know what they are doing and will agree with you. It's all communication.
If it was a perfect world, things would be much easier.brsims Thanks this. -

I have a question . Is this the truck you drive daily ? Those tires didn't get that bad overnight , did they ? -
Knife the tire, drive it about 1/4mile on the shoulder until it is shredded enough to call it a blow out. Tell them your your lucky it didn't blow out while you where going fast.

Now, no driver in their right mind will do this... -

everybody has different attitudes and i realize all the a//hole in the company have life good those that play the nice guy are miserable but the a//hole cant mess up but those who tend to be the the a//hole are the best drivers.
