The TA in Washington DC has a guard shack, first 2 hrs free, its 10 or 15 bucks otherwise, or must show receipt of spending more than 10 or 15 dollars in there, cant remember the amount. They cant even keep the panhandlers out, and its basically a shi# hole.
No, we shouldnt get charged, you know how many thousands of dollars in fuel I get at pilots, TA's, Petro, etc.? A freakin lot, the least they can give me is all the free parking I want. BS, the fuel alone entitles us to free parking, period. Plus I spend a lot for other stuff too. No trucker running decent miles is a freeloader.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT lets say the T/A'S in Ontario Ca didnt charger for parking do you know how many truck would be in that area at 1 time just think about it most places that charge for parking are in heavily trafficed areas and the charge clears up the congestion. Let see T/A Dallas,Petro West Memphis,T/A Denver, T/A Jessup,Md, all the places are in congested area look at Arizona,New Mexico they dont charge for parking and if some1 does guess what it more places to park. Charge for parking in certain area and it does keep the Riffraf out
