The travel centers tag it as Walton, KY... we can submit to TTF and see if they correct.

    thanks,
    Mark

Shouldnt the town show up at least .. so you can search around it? Suppose someone had to make a delivery in Richwoods,KY?

Rand went back and looked at our end also. On the next version you would be able to see Richwood, KY. It has to do with the way cities/hamlets are found in the mapping database.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Go to your start button - left click, in the search box type MSCONFIG.

    Hit Enter.

    Go to the startup tab.

Look for TND Dock and uncheck it.

    Hit apply/ok.

    Thanks,
    Mark

i rececntly purchased a TND 710 and used it once. the speaker or voice program didn't work properly. i went back and exchanged it at the TA on home time. after what seemed an act of Congress to get the trade, i plugged it up in my personal vehicle, changed the settings and off I went. The speaker now works but, the speed is off by up to 9 mph at some points. Still, I like the unit. I am still getting used to following it after using a Garmin Nuvi. I liked the one my trainer had so I bought one personally. Seems pretty solid. I wish it would do logs and weight though. (Maybe even a bluetooth, email, or QualCom plugin would be helpful)

If you are basing your speed with the odometer, then remember the odometer is calibrated for a new set of tires. As your tires wear down your odometer is now off. Transmissions also have to be calibrated to the odometer on some vehicles. Remember on the non-electronic gauge it has a cable to the transmission. The electronic go by sensors on the transmission. The TND goes by Lat/Long -Distance.

If does do logs - personal use only. Since it is not an EOBR.

    Weight - ? explain?

The TND is simply a receiver. The TND-760 is more advanced and is considered an EOBR and is a mini QC with the ability to transmit also.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I have the 710,Anyone know of a 12 volt charger that will work. Acording to the 710 manual, it takes 2 amps to charge it.Most of the cell phone chargers are 1 amp or less
