what would it matter?i don't know maybe knowing how much most truckers make starting out might clue you in to how lil they have to spend on the road.most of the ones with less than 1 year atleast.

i can see just how green you really are with a statement like the last one you made.they make plenty....

Faint of heart has nothing to do with it. There are rules.

As far as calling me a genius, you should note you were the one that brought up fuel price wars and such. I posted the information which shows that the fuel prices charged by these companies are not just to break even.

Why should I pay for parking?

I did it once years ago as a company driver and the company REFUSED to pay the fee. This is not something that a driver should have to be paying.

As to whether I am a driver or not is of the same value if I were to ask you.

I do not see the need to worry about the little thing up top. If you want, I can change it to Wannabe or Student or Trucker with years.

I have been driving since 1999.

Once again before opeening your mouth maybe you should find out how much experience one has...I know how much I made when I started out, I know how much I made doing a lease purchase, and I know where everey penny I make as an O/O goes. I also understand business and if it don't make dollars it don't make sense, so once again why would truckstops continue to allow free parking when drivers are becoming more self sufficent and not spending money in the restaurant or truckstop??

How about attack my post and not me, instead of thinking you know how much experience I have, give one good reason to allow FREE parking if people aren't gonna patronize the business.

if you understand business so well then why would you ever in your right mind do a lease purchase?so what your saying is you really don't know busniess, because anyone with business smarts would know that is 1 of the worst things 1 could do.hey just because sometrucking company told you,you were a professional busniessman because you bought into there lease purchase does'nt mean you are a businessman...

now are you saying you never buy anything at a ts these days?between all the fuel and food, drinks, and everything else they make a killing.it's odd that these ts's have been in biz for many many years and yet they are still in biz.the whole biz has been bought and paid for many times over.it takes very lil to maintain a #### parking lot.

here's alil biz 101 for the professional businessmen out there.when you offer a service such as a parking lot to park in,it brings business into your store.wow what a concept.lets say you owned the ta and i owned the pilot across the street.you charged for parking i'd get most of your business because i would'nt.i would'nt be so greedy as to charge for something that will bring business to my door.

1 of the main goals in RETAIL business"not leasing a truck"but RETAIL is to offer something such as parking and free showers for fueling up to get extra business.whoever taught you to be the professional that you are left out the KEY to retail business...the golden rule that most small businesses forget.A SMALL SLICE OF EVERYONES PIE IS BETTER THAN A BIG SLICE OF A FEW PEOPLE'S PIE.
