I talked to a Millis driver tonight on the radio. No problem getting miles and loves working for Millis. I dont even have my permit yet and Im starting to love Millis. He said he gets home when he wants to; just tells dispatch when he needs to be home. Sounds like to me there a family owned company who really cares about family morals.

My Husband works for Millis ,has for years, he came off the road to do other things, one day he asked what I thought of him going back on the road..... I told him I was waiting for the other boot to drop ( he always talked about Millis and how happy he was) ... I told him to call ,they all remembered him and he was back over the road. He gets idle bonus, mile bonus, and good miles. va ca is 6 mo after you are on your own. Millis is "family". When there was 3 deaths and serious illness in our family , they made sure that my husband got to where he needed to be. And Home Time is when he wants .. they are really good about it all. Son in law went to truck school there in Ohio. $500. for school, 3 in class 1 dropped out. He had class time, drive time, test time. Had no problems with trainer ,he made his road test appt and the trainer took him on the week day .He did great , he loves it also.
So if you guys are looking for a place to work ... call them, just remember , if you work for them ,they work for you .

I saw on their website that their trucks have 10sp 13sp and autoshift transmitions. Does anyone know if you get to choose which one you get or are the autoshifts reserved for the veteran drivers. Being a newbee I would prefer an autoshift so I could concentrate on driving more than shifting.

Millis has all 10 speeds in their current OTR trucks (05,06,07). Shifting is not hard, by the time you get your own truck in will almost be second nature.

Millis only has one 08 truck, with no plans to get any more 08's.

    Hi Everyone, :hello2:
I was wondering if Millis Transfer has any women student drivers or full time women drivers employed with Millis Tranfer? I am very much interested in their training program.
