Listen to Slick 50 he is right on. I absolutely love the pro star eagles since they first came out they are sexy best looking aero truck of the bunch, love driving it too. They can be a little tricky to shift but with the addition of useless technology even harder. Technology should be used for a digital scale for your steers and drives also tandems not a useless shift light. Also road following headlights like that of Mercedes cars and a backing and blind spot camera or a sensor to tell you if the fifth wheel is too low to hook a trailer now that is putting tech in to good use. Some stuff should just stay classic like shifting.

I want a tractor that automatically hooks up the air lines as soon as I couple to the trailer and I just push a button and the landing gear goes up, and the trailer doors open and close automatically and there is an escalator where the steps go and I want park assist and autopilot and......

Is the light actually telling you when to shift or is it lighting up when your hitting a limiter? Since the OP said it won't gain speed once the light comes on it sounds much more like the limiter, which you don't need to be going up to every gear.

Only needed 1st once or twice ever; steep grade starts while releasing brakes. Also, while sliding tandems.
But 1st gear on normal loaded and unloaded starts; never. A lot of extra wear and tear and SPENT FUEL!!!
Skip shift up, 2-4-6-7-8-9-10 / 2-4-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13 / 2-4-6-7-8-9 when you can (Most shifts).
Skip shift down 10-8-6-5-3-(2 once stopped)
I have run several different trucks and this is pretty much the same with each of them.
Use progressive shifting, stay off clutch unless you need it. If you miss a gear - Do not clutch it in, instead think about your speed, gear needed, and RPM - float it in.
A little practice it will be the only way you drive. -

Truck was my first truck out of school, my trainers truck: 2004 Freighshaker Century, with 500+ HP Detroit 60 and Eaton/Fuller 9/13 speed.
I put it in second and come off the clutch with no throttle. Once clutch is fully released I give it fuel. float to 4th.
Your running EGR power I am not... this will motor where EGR won't.. -

the truck always has told you when to shift- now its visual as well as by ear.
Nashville Driver Thanks this. -
What happens with the green light if you're color blind ? Do you think it's red and slam on the brakes?
