Finally home with my family
!!! Big thank you to the planners and OPS for getting about 20 of us drivers home to Florida from the Lawrenceville Ga Freight terminal.
Yesterday around 9Am Christmas was looking a little bleak with no freight in sight. Called ops said they would pair us up with Rental cars. Cruised down to Sarasota in a 2011 Charger. SWEET! WAs in bed with the Mrs by 2am, best Christmas present ever had!
Merry Christmas Everone :smt114 -

At the tailend of my third day of hometime. Two more to go. Then off to the shop I'll go to get this air leak dealt with. Would have liked to got it taken care of during home time but couldn't get the planners to see things my way. What's new there?
vmaggs Thanks this. -

That is one of the reasons I really have no interest in other companies xls. Conway has been up front about everything. In all the years I have been around trucking (dad and grandpa) were always company drivers (ok pawpa did try to o/o once), and I have never seen a company who was straight with drivers as Conway. I also enjoy being treated like a professional by office workers, instead of the attitude of "this would be a great company if not for the drivers".
My miles aren't always as great as I want, but the treatment is great. -

Well, trying to go back to work but no luck getting a load after my home time, been here since 0700 and am still sitting on a positive note I have sat long enough to see a family friend from town and get another job offer, If the truck isn't rolling by 1700 I will seriously consider giving my 30 days notice. Other offer is @ a small carrier leave out Monday back Friday and get through the house a few times during the week. It is a $100 pay cut a week and I really like it at CONWAY but if I can't be w/ my family I want to make money
NHL_fan Thanks this.
