I am interested in hearing opinions of O/Os hauling for SUNCO. I know they are a reefer co. based out of FL with a terminal close to me in ATL. I see a lot of their trailer on I-75 everyday around here. I understand they are an O/O only fleet.

I do not see a payment scheule on the website, do they differnt per load? How is the pay?

I pulled reefers in and out of PA more than 15 years ago. I want to get into flatbedding when I start driving again, but would not be against reefers again. Would do reefers before I do dry vans.

Sunco will treat you decently. I pulled for them for 2 years. They pay 70% of the linehaul with their trailer, 78% with yours. I think you'll average 1.05 per mile without fuel surcharge (not every customer pay fuel surcharge though). Weekly settlements with direct deposit. Be home on the weekends. You could make money as long as you stay away from Maimi loads. They don't have any customer down there, so you will deadhead to central florida to reload with cheap freight going to GA,SC,NC. The best fleet is the Midwest. 95% of loads are above 40,000 lbs. I believe they are paying now for the reefer fuel. I hope that helped.:biggrin_25526:
