    Stay away from Extra Transportation Transportation in Indianapolis, Indiana
    The owner is the Brother of The owner of Russel trailer repair who won't even do work on his trucks because he owes him so much money and he refuses to pay because it's 'family" If he rips off his own Brother and his own Father, what does that tell you about the company ???
    I went in for some cancer test and because I am now faced with radical treatments and my medical will no longer be valid, I had to resign. I had a check coming for over 2000 miles, turned my truck in all cleaned and detailed and yet I never received a final check and have to go file it in court to get what is due and payable..
    If this is the type of person you want to count on and type of company you want to deal with, then I highly reccomend EXTRA TRANSPORTATION because Rusty is the lowest of lows!!!
    I should also mention that I have know this person for over 15 years and he pulled this on me two days before Christmas and he knew I was sick and going thru treatment!! One heck of a guy..Huh ????:biggrin_25513:

    Quote me if I'm wrong someone, but I believe they have up to 45 days to issue you a final check, I am just telling you this so you don't waste court fees and time.

    But maybe the laws are different from state to state I really don't know

    Most states have a law stating that when an employee resigns the final paycheck will be issued on the next payday. Now there are states that have a law that if you are terminated, you can demand payment at the time of termination.

    I didn't know about any of that with his Brother until I needed work done on my truck and they sent me across town to have it done even though they share the same lot with his brother's garage. That seemed kinda strange so I asked and that's what I found out after the fact.

    In a way, after 30 years I am glad I am getting out of it. Seems like there are more and more companies and more and more individuals using and abusing truck drivers with no regard for the driver nor their families. What is needed is a Drivers Union of some sort and when companies pull this on one driver, pull all their drivers and leave them sitting there looking at their empty trucks...That will get their attention! Drivers are the most needed and yet they are the most abused. Doesn't seem right! Didn't use to be that way.

    Do not work for this company or get anywhere near it. The owner "rusty" is a true criminal. He will short pay you on checks or not pay you at all for the work you have done. Him and his wife Debbie are grade A liars. They are only in business to help themselves and couldn't care less about there employees. I wouldn't work with these people if it was the last job on the planet. Be warned!!!

    i got a job there in sept 2014 , i had cancer and was out of work two years rusty gave me a chance ,they never cheated me ,i had read this post and was lookin out for it , i had to quit without a notice i expected to not see my last check cause i signed a paper saying if i quit without notice ,that i didnot get my last check , but when time came to get it i got my last check in the mail ,i would work for this man any time if my health was not bad , had the best dispatcher i ever worked for a woman whos name is sue , his wife was one of the nicest ladys i ever seen ,one day i went into the guard shack to pickup my check and some guys from the trailer shop said you mean rusty pays you i said yes and dam good to , i am only telling the truth of what happen to me ,it was rustys choice to pay me my last check ,cause of the paper i signed ,and he did cause i did a good job for him ,like i said from the dispaters to the ones in office ,i never worked for better people ,but i was only there four months ,and i have nothing bad i could say if i wanted to , but i will say the women there was sweet sweet sweet and a bunch of baybe dolls ...tin for
