well they finally nailed me - forced into electronic logs

    E-logs have been around for 20 years....they are still not madatory...and will not be for a very long time if ever. There is no way the gov is going to force 100,000+ O/Os to spend $1000's of dollars on a computer system, it just isnt going to happen.

    speaking as an old guy, its kinda nice not having to fudge and worrying if my log book is gonna get checked out at the next scale house.

    Wanna bet? The government had no problem saoying you can no longer idle. And we don't care if its 110 or -20

    Ya but if your getting some miles you might need to do some creative loging.

    oh really? i've idled in every state never had a problem, and most states do have excptions to the rules when its really hot or cold anyway

    Heaven forbid you get into a accident and your logs are actually legal. You would rather risk jail time to squeeze out those couple hours?
