I'll begin truck training on the 24th of September. I would like to get a puppy or rescue dog as my travel companion. I would prefer a pit bull but NOT ONE FROM FIGHTING BLOODLINES or one that has been used for fighting. My question is this: Has anyone encountered problems traveling through communities that have banned pits or are not pit friendly?

Also, any helpful tips about having pets on the road would be most appreciated! Thanks

Contact me after you get out of "Basic" training, Otoe, and I will see what I can do about hooking you up with a rescue dog. (If that was your question) I have been active in "Rescue" for many years.

If you are set on having a Pit Bull the real question you should be asking is: Does the company I am planning on working with allow me to have a pet, and more specifically, do they have any breed restrictions?

There are companies who will allow you a pet but not certain breeds, or pets over a certain weight. Check that out before you make a decision on one company.

I have seen drivers with pits, mastiffs, and even once a great dane!
