How do you guys manage your bills??

best thing you can do is set-up an auto pay agreement,most of your monthly bills have this option.for those bills that do not have this option,send them two double payments that will leave you a credit on each subsequent monthly bill.that way you can send in your payments when you get home and never be subject to late charges or have a late payment history on your credit.using a laptop is another option using online bill pay but follow those warnings about using WiFi-a hacker can easily get your password to access you bank accounts.using your own wireless card is the better way to go,even if it costs a little more.if you are renting,just let your landlord know you will be mailing the checks directly to the rental office,if you have a mortgage-they prefer the autopay as they know the payments will always be on time. one important thing,,,MAKE SURE ENOUGH IS IN THE BANK AT ALL TIMES! in other words,remember what is being deducted and at what day so you dont let your account not be able to cover the automatic payment

 

Can't you keep track of the phone numbers and account numbers of the bills you have, and call in the payments? I do that with a vast majority of my bills....... car payment, cell phone payment, electric bill and cable bill, credit card bill, etc... I'm not a fan of the automatic payment thing...I like to have more control over exactly when the money for the bills comes out of my account. Most companies charge to do a credit card payment by phone, but most of them do not charge to do a check by phone. You do need to be a little organized, but paying bills by phone is very easy to do.

I agree the easiest way to pay your bills is using a cellphone thats t5he way i do it and you can wait until the last day before its due.
keep your money as long as possible use atomatic payment for important things like house payments and what not.
The easiest thing is to have no bills or as few as possible nothing like feeling out of debt.

 

pay bills by phone?,sounds like a lot more hassle than autopay.like to keep your money in the bank untill the bill is due?autopay again,doesn't come out untill the due date--not the end of the "grace period" as so many like to do.thats why their credit scores are in the low 600's.as to paying more than needed to maintain water,trash,gas ,etc? you mean over a few months you can't set aside 200 bucks? i've got the house payment,truck payment,business credit payment,car payment,cell phone,car insurance,tv,credit card,DSL,TVC,health insurance,personal loans,home phone,direct TV all on autopay.that only leaves me with water,trash,gas & electric to write checks to. sounds like i have more time for me and less worrying about who i need to pay by the end of the week! let alone a smaller cell phone bill!
