Yay, he made it. This time the flatbed backed up just in case. The funny thing is, there were two guys in the cab and the other guy never got out to help.

 

Both of you have less then a year driving & you both say that truckers don't know how to adjust their mirrors properly? You know, see out the mirrors has a lot more to it them adjustment. Perhaps driver's should windex their mirrors more often... I've seen to many of company drivers running down the road with so much dirt on their mirrors... It makes me wonder how the hell they see what is suppose to be reflecting in them....

Also trucks do have blind spots! My long nose Pete only has 2 mirrors... 1 on each door! You should climb up here & look at all my blind spots!

Stop eating the flying J buffet & that problem would cure itself!

They just wash the extra chrome a lot.

I don't think any speed limited truck should even be in the running for a best truck award. Nice truck maybe. Strong truck maybe. But best overall? Nope.

 

Anyone that needs to re-think being and driver because truckers make fun of each other does not need to be a trucker. For that matter you don't need to work at any job with a lot of men....I have always had jobs were I worked with men only or mostly men and there is one thing they all have in common....Men give each other Heck about making mistakes...And they think farting on each other is funny.

 

why is it yall keep reviving old posts from 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 years ago. come on guys.

I did that on my very first load to a place in Baltimore tight place telephone pole next to the alley & had to back in blind side...I told another driver I'll give you $10 to back this in there & he did & I was glad to pay the money...The WalMart docks though theres really no excuse because they are fairly easy & nice & wide...

 

If everybody did that ATA wouldn't have any tractors to demonstrate blind spots in their No Zone program .
Somebody made a post of my Facebook page showing how people could sit in the cab of a YRC tractor at a No Zone demonstration and not be able to see an OHP car beside the cab then complimented YRC for being safety minded and educating the public .
I pointed out no YRC tractors have a convex mirror on the left front fender . My tractor does and I don't have any blind spots . If YRC was safety minded they'd buy sufficient mirrors for their trucks .
