iThat's why you CYA! You copy every piece of paper that crosses your fingers, you take pictures and you have them to fix the DAC report! That's why they have to read and check your history with BFI when they write a bad report to DAC.
Why a law when they do it already. Nothing new about it at all.

All the gooberment does is tell companies how to pay how to treat and how to tax employees. It does NOT tell them how to run a company or set up anything but a minimum wage, tax schedule and a few rules on how to hire following affirmative action (race and sex) laws, how to control sexual harassment, how alternative lifestyles must be treated but there's nothing on how to file a DAC report or how they can fire an employee or how long an arse kissing session must last.
The gooberment can tell them how they must hire them within the sentences of the law for fair hiring practices of race and sex and then the states can tell them if they are Right to Work, and how they can fire without notice which many companies try to stay away from due to that pesky unemployment insurance they will have to pay the ex employee so they either give the employee enough rope to hang himself so he gets fired for breaking company policy which is just great for the BFI as then they are out of having to pay UE or they wait for them to quit which they really wish they do as there is no having to take valuable time with the gooberment and UE paper work.
Yeah I know if you or I were to start a company we would treat our people as we would want because we've been on the short end of the stick. I've been bent over a tank a few times since I started until 9/2009 and I'll die before seeing all these big bad companies get their widdle fannies spanked and forced to treat every one by the golden rule.
That's the world of the employer. They make their rules and are the ones not losing any sleep over how they treat their employees, the same employees that give them the mansions and nice cars they drive but they control every thing from the temperature of the office to how you kiss their arse.

the last line you quoted,i was talking about dac,and the other systems used by these companies.as far as the rest i agree.the thing is i have been in biz for my self a few times.not just in trucking either.so i do know what it is like on the other side of the other side lmao.

It's a dog eat dog world in the trucking industry. A notice to quit doesn't help your case. This isn't a single job with a single hiring to fill. Trucking companies have a constant hiring pool.
The important parts of quitting is to plan your quit to protect your own interest.
My personal rules of quitting:
Only give notice of quitting if you have a good relationship with your company and that you are not quitting because the way things are going and you are mad.
Always plan your quit and don't quit on impulse. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to execute unless you are home weekly.
Never quit under load, but empty sitting on the yard of your home terminal and not some satellite yard.
Time your quit so you go home on offtime the beginning of a payroll period. This minimizes the amount of your money they have of yours. Even take cash advances the days prior to lower the amount. When you are home, empty your truck, all except what you can fit in one or two travel bags. Clean the truck thoroughly and take pictures inside and out.
Make arrangements for your own transportation home.
You can make excuses to get to the terminal by saying you have to get to the shop for a repair or PM and they will route you that way.
When you are on the yard, empty and not under load, the truck is just like you got it, they can't do a thing to you.
They might put on the DAC you are not eligible for rehire or upon review, which means squat. But you won't see all these other vendictive and misconstrued reports.
There's an art to quitting. Be slick about it.

Well you haven't read a word i said NO where did i say kiss anyones a@s or brown nose or anything!!!!!!!!!! And i am the first person to quit a company when they don't treat me right. I just ain't going to up and quit without a notice just because i ain't getting my way. And looks like your not going to the root of the problem your self if you just up and quit like your stating everyone should do. I guess your the type if you have a problem with a company you just up and quit without telling anyone. I am the first to say this is BULL SXXX but i think most companies out there treat drivers bad and we shouldn't put up with it i agree with you there. I just don't think that a person should stoop to there level of BULL. Just find another job turn in your notice and leave. I would say if it says unauthorized use the op probably bobtailed from where he was to the terminal instead of waiting for a dispatch to the terminal. They were probably trying to get him a load to the terminal and he didn't feel like waiting. If you did as you say then there should be some record of it via qualcom. If you did it over the phone you didn't CYA. Good Luck
