    Attention USA Truck drivers!!!

I am probably going to start USA's C1 school on Oct. 1st. I am trying to find out where the closest terminal to my house is. Why can't trucking companies have a terminal map on their website?!?!?!?! I currently live in Sterling Heights, MI (zip 48314). I also have a property in mid-michigan that I would like to make my permanent residence (zip 48633). What are the closest USA truck terminals? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you much guys and gals,
Billy the Aspiring trucker (am I nuts?)

Just curious but why do you need to know about closest terminal? Trainer will pick you up after training and drop you off in Van Buren to get truck.

I was just wondering how home time is scheduled. Do they give you the closest delivery to your home and then you drive home when your load is delivered? Or do you have to get home from the terminal? I was under the impression that you would have to drive home from the closest terminal. Hopefully I am wrong.

your first assumption is correct. where do you plan on parking your rig? i park mine at the local econo-lodge that has truck parking. I asked the manager for permission

Well, that raises another question. Do you drop your trailer and bobtail home, or do you pull an empty trailer? I'm sure I can work something out if I'm pulling a trailer. I know some local business owners. But It would be a lot easier if I could park in my driveway.

no you can't leave your trailer anywhere but a USA terminal or drop yard. i usually (because i live outside of our normal freight lanes) come home deadhead only once have i came home under a load. check local truckstops and motels with truck parking ETC. to see if you can park there.

    Thanks for the info panhandlepat!

I'm glad this forum is here. If I hadn't come across it, I'd be relying on recruiters to give me information. Now that's a scary thought!
