Green drivers will always be treated with kids' gloves when they start out. It's part of the "feeling out" phase. A green driver shouldn't demand much during this honeymoon, lest he get aggravated, and maybe even quit, over nothing.

Hang in there and you'll be fine.

There is a bright side to the honeymoon stage--you don't drive as much, meaning the probability of your DAC getting wacked before you get a year in will be less. Some companies, such as SwiftQuit, will send you to downtown Manhattan when you have only three weeks' solo experience. If you bash your DAC when ya got only three weeks' experience, you'll be SOL. If you have a year in when that happens, you may have a fighting chance with some companies when it's time to change jobs.

    95 per? That's good layover.

Are you driving for Pumpkin or C.R. England Ad these days?

Just a cool pic I shot at Flynns Truckstop. It was a hot truck. The driver was a funny guy too.

What the heck should I have done - just jump in the truck and drive myself to Marshfield? I went there when they told me to go there. I live in GA and they had to route me there. I went there when they sent me there. It had nothing to with sucking. Guess I could have tried to impress you by hijacking the truck and running it wherever I wanted to, but I don't give a flying crap what you or anyone else thinks.

Everyone talks about what a great company they are to work for and they aren't. Taking what I was making and averaging it out for a year, I was on track to make a little under $29k for the first 12 months. A trucking company that pays its 1st year drivers less than 30k a year should NOT be considered a top-tier company in my book. You guys can go to work for them if you want. I couldn't care less. I am working a local job now and making guaranteed money that is WAAAAAAY above that pidly paycheck I was getting from the great and mighty Roehl.

Do you really think they had trouble routing you from GA to the main terminal in WI? I'm sure there were no G-P loads headed up that way. If it took them a while to get you up there it was because you were incompetent and were not ready to do the final qualifications. Good luck with your tankers. Not ready to quit after four days?
