Are they going to fix the speed limits in TN. They only have 55mph is certain areas not statewide. I'm in TN. now and it has them on the GPS as 55 but I'm in a 70mph zone.

You're going to have to be way more specific than that.

As explained before, speed limits are set by segments in the map database. If a segment is missing a "corrected" truck speed then the program will retain the last know truck speed limit. When you hit a segment that has a "corrected" truck speed then the new speed will show up. This is in the Navteq data.

You can turn the TND off/on and it will pick up the car speed shown if your settings are set to show car speed if no truck speed is shown.

The map database is by no means perfect and all needed data is being submitted to NavTeq for future map updates.

You also may have an older mapset. Let me have your TND serial number and if you bought the latest mapset or not.

Also Rand has build "work arounds" in the code to try to help this. Make sure you are on the latest version.

Knoxville, TN is a know area that the speed changes from 65 to 55 back to 65.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Did you try to close the TND Dock and disconnect the TND and then try to update again?

On your computer c:\ is folder called logs. Send me the one that is dated for when you did your update.

    thanks
    Mark

I got the logs, I see a few error messages. Did you do the update on WiFi or an Aircard?

    Thanks,
    Mark
