Sorry, forgot about that. 1.75 to load, no charge to fuel which beats my Trucker Advantage Fleet One card.

    G/MAN Thanks this.

I'm going to work on monday morning load at 9 am, I'll be home wednesday around 2pm. In that span of time I will haul two loads, my miles should not exceed 950 including deadhead, I will net over 3000.00 after LS percentage and those evil fees. I can't do those numbers at any 'fee free' company that I know of.

The downside to LS isn't their fees it's the robots in Jacksonville and cut and paste agents.

    LSAgentOZR and milskired Thank this.

That right there is the reason why I would like to get a truck in a few years and lease to LS and learn there system so I can eventually be able to do that!

Grumpy what is it that you pull? Flat and OD stuff?

Apparently you can comprehend or read very well? The load with broken packaging was the second load.
The first load was two pices of pipe 40ft long 48id 54od=108 overall. Thats not dunnage and definetly not legal either or even permittable.
Now lets see brain trust stack two more crates of that flimsy plastice on top of the broken ones and see what can happen? The one thing you are using landstars cargo insurance mine is own my dime.
So that should be pretty self explanatory about you if you'd haul those type loads on your own you'd be without cargo insurance and pay fines for loads that were illegal. So you best stay where you are so landstar can bail you out.
This isn't the only story I can tell it's just one I had pictures of.
You probally couldn't make on your own anyway.
Why buy your own truck if your going to be servant to one master??

NO Middle piece each end had broken wood and they wanted to stack 3 high. and half crates were broken. I asked them to fix it and they wouldn't. This was after I showed them the two pieces of pipe they had put on was 108 wide. I put a tape on it and let manager see it. His reply was we do it all the time.

The one thing I find funny is most guys will tell you online how much money they're making. You see their trucks and they're falling to pieces and they don't have nothing but lint in their wallets. Most people will invite others to misery that way it don't seem as bad for themselves.

This trip one load is straight the other is 10' wide, the straight load is a quick pu/del same day, both require tarps.

Don't get me wrong, this is an exceptional week for Jan. regardless of that I do well enough the rest of the year that I only work at most 7 months or so.

My truck is old rev. but it is by no means falling apart the trailer could use some paint. I can buy a new truck and answer to the bank 'master', I could run my tail off and answer to the tax 'master' or I can work when I want or need to and answer to my LS 'master' when I am working. I usually don't post what I make but seeing there are so many naysayers here I felt like bragging a little.

Your comment about answering to one 'master' is a hoot. We all answer to someone no matter where we are on the ladder. I was an indie that had my own customers, they were my 'masters', when I hauled broker freight the broker was my 'master', now I'm an employee with a debt load at LS, they are my 'master', when I work.

The only folks that I can think of that have no one to answer to other than God are the homeless.

You have it right about the blast emails, except it's most of the agents do that. Very few have any real customers of their own you can get the same loads without them and make 20% or more. There have been several incidents over the past six years that has soured me towards ladnstar overall. When I can look at a load board and find the same load for 200-900 more why would I want to fool with them? I watched these ladies in a agents office laughing about a driver having to wait over five hours to get unloaded, I remembered that was me one day for the same outfit except my wait was eight hours and I got zero dollars for it. I will stick with my original assertion
"apples don't roll far from the tree" and most of them are bad ones.

LOL, I had my own authority from 2003-2009. I never had a single cargo claim. I had multiple trucks as well as trucks leased to me. If your surfing IT, GL, or DAT, you aren't doing as well as me here at LS. Of course, I provide service, and most of my loads don't even come off LS's board. One of those years under my own authority, I did 100k with Landstar running two trucks, and they weren't even my main customer. If you are going to sit here and tell us you've never been screwed by CHR, TQL, Matson, etc only Landstar, that will give all of us in the know another laugh. Were you even leased to Landstar, or are you just an outside carrier? If you are so unhappy, why not cancel your carrier agreement right now?
