So you had multiple trucks? and now it's just you and landstar?
what a perfect match. Screwed by other brokers other than landstar? I don't fool with TQL much they're full of games,I had one problem with CHR out of houston and thats all I can remeber. I never said I was unhappy, you should read better I said they taught me valuable lessons and most of there agents are less than whale do-do. I still have a few agents that call me on worthwhile loads, but I have trimed them to less than 20% of what I do and this year I hope it's less than 5%. Looking at the big picture everything they say is a LIE. I spoke with a woman identifying herself as aVP there. She stated for fact that landstar ONLY charged 20% on brokered loads. What a lie. And that they NEVER rebokered loads another BIG LIE. Now lets get to their great broker load board ALL the milages are WRONG, I call them "landstar cheat you miles" . You can live in fantasyland if you like the truth is the truth.
Landstar is just a "tool" as far as I'm concerned and when I break it I'll throw it away. For now any business I can divert to someone else they have I will and take pleasure in doing so. If it wasn't for the last time I dealt with carrier services about a POS agent I may not feel like this, but since I do piss on landstar. I don't forget when I'm cheated if you can't tell?

Thanks Revelation, I know know I don't know how to run a business, my wallet is empty and my truck is a POS. Thank you for enlightening me.

Really like the way you post Scripture and you fine Christian attitude also.

Some Landstar agents to double broker. Some will make more than 20%, on brokered loads, although that is the company line. It really comes down to whether you can get the rate you want rather than how much Landstar or any other broker takes off the top. I always run my own miles. Some Landstar agents are better than others the way they calculate mileage. I usually do a quick check with mapquest. I have found that they are closest to actual miles. CH Robinson has 3 ways in which they can calculate miles. I am sure these two are not alone. It is up to you to do your own checks. I posted on another thread but will here also. Last week I received a number of load alerts from Landstar that had fairly decent rates. Most of what I have been sent this week are cheap. Some of that is the time of year. Regardless, if it is less than I want on a load then I don't take it. I go somewhere else. I mostly have a small group of companies with which I do business. Perhaps that is what you need to do. If I were you I would spend more time either finding direct business or brokers who has better rates. You can find agents with Landstar who have good rates. Many do have cheaper rates, but not all of them. The same with CH Robinson or many other brokers. Decide what you want on a rate and stick to it. You don't have to take cheap rates. I have a minimum rate that I need to go to Florida, South Texas or New England. If I don't get that rate or better then I don't go. It is a business decision. For instance, if someone offers me $2/mile to go to Long Island, I tell them my rate for that area. If they don't want to pay it then I don't take the load.

Please enlighten us. How many trucks and drivers did you have in 2007-2008? I'm guessing just yours. Yes I got tired of driving my truck just to pay my drivers wages, so I liquidated. My main customer here in FL sold out to a competitor with their own logistics as well. You'll lose if you just try to play the load boards, which is why I came to Landstar for their great contract freight, which I find in abundance. Of course LandstarOnline has far better loads than LandstarBroker. Once again, if you hate LS SO MUCH, cancel your carrier contract Monday. Put your money where your mouth is!!!

You can't type a complete sentence without multiple spelling and grammatical errors and you're knocking him for his reading comprehension? Come on guy!

This thread was for information, not for you to whine and start fights. Step outside of this and start a new thread, so we can all ignore you and go about giving people who want to know information about LS the facts and not some backwoods opinion slathered in whine sauce.

With all the fees you don't pay by being leased on with Landstar, I did have just one question. How much are your fees to the lawyer to keep him on retainer for all of the people you're suing or "going to sue?"

I love it as well. Typical modern day 'bible thumping' Christian nowadays. I just wish if he was so big and bad that he'd tell us who he was and what his company was so we can let LS know he no longer wishes to be an approved carrier and from his previous statements on here, which I've taken screenshots of, should be deemed a security threat.

It's wrong for him to generalize about Landstar agents. It's equally wrong (or maybe even worse?) for you to generalize about "typical" Christians.

Somehow, I don't believe we're competing for the same freight. I generally don't go much past the first 10-15 loads when based on revenue. Rarely are these loads on the broker board.

    SHC Thanks this.
