hmmm, lets see if i can crack the 3k mark for next check, i got 8 hours holiday pay on top of the 90.75 this week and i only have tomorrow off for this coming week. What do you say guys, one time, right? If i fall short of 3k by a nickel i'll be extremely sick. Man i tell ya, i wont be denied, ive kicked this job's ### no matter what its thrown at me and i'll tell you straight up that i have fought this job for 15-16 hours straight before and always came out on top. Sometimes you simply just have to FIGHT.

    3k+ is in the bag.

You may be leading people wrong. 90% of the drivers myself included could not keep that pace more than 3 to 6 months. And you paint yourself into a corner hitting it that hard because it makes it harder to slack up when you start burning out. Physically as your body deteriorates you will not be able to keep this pace up. Just a warning to those that follow you to go in and work it like a normal job until you learn it. Trying to run hard when you have not learned to drive yet is a recipe for disaster. Everyone is different and it would make me feel bad and damage my ability to do the job if I went in and felt like 40 to 50 hours a week was a good pace and all the other rookies are running like that. No one will look out for you except you. Work to live, not live to work.

The main reason he is in Texas busting his Arse is to make all the money he can. If you want to work 40 to 50 hours a week get a local job making $10.00 an hour.

I understand the fact that he is there to make money, but you can only keep that pace up for so long then Boom little mistakes start happening and sometimes little mistakes can be very dangerous. I admire the man for doing what he is doing but when you are behind the wheel of an eighteen wheeler for that many hours day in and day out, it's gonna catch up and it may not be pretty. Just be safe man!

You have a guy out there with a job taking care of business and people find ways to criticize him. Really? I know you dont care what they say Paul, just keep gettin after it. I just moved to Midland myself from Michigan and have day 4 of training tomorrow. So far so good, but miss my family as they will be joining me in June.

the one for 800 i think was in midland, i stay in sonora at the holiday host motel, they charge 130 a week but you can haggle with them if you stay for a while. I plan on renting a room from a friend soon, so that will cut my rent down in half to about 250 bucks a month.

the guy you want to talk to is petey , he is the guy in charge of hiring for the district. I work out of the sonora yard, there are many yards around here such as big lake and ozona. Big lake is desolate and ozona is bigger than sonora but i like sonora the best. He's a good guy and he'll treat you right and you can rely on his word 100%. If he doesnt answer, just leave a message and he'll get back to you, as a matter of fact, i'm waiting for a call from him too.

    man thanks

so if we succeed, then its luck? dont we all make our own choices about mistakes? I know ive made my choice and i dont come back with excuses.

Yes and thats right, we are all adults here and YOU make the choice at what level you want to get after it. Good luck to you sir.

Dude you act like someone is bashing you or something. I don't mean to be critical if you take it that way. As far as making your own choices about mistakes, they happen and not by choice. What I'm getting at, if you run off the road and turn the truck over, is that a choice? If you cross the center line and have a head on collision, is that a choice as well? I'm not bashing you in any way, just pointing out a few things that you are most likely aware of, but all I'm saying is just be careful. As far as success, it does take skill and drive, but maybe just a little luck as well lol:biggrin_25520:. Just do what you do and be safe and peace out!
