Oh my take on halfburn,s comment I will put my 2 pennies in. I don't think it will make anyone happy if you burned out. Me for one does not want that to happen and I think I speak for most on here. I could be wrong though. Just git r dun.
I'm a stone cold rookie, gonna work the texas oil fields

Dont listen to this aggitator guys, being tough minded is not an option for his kind.runningman0661 Thanks this. -
ok, goin back to work today, went to san angelo to buy a phone, they wanted a 400 dollar deposit for verizon and made it sound like they were doing me a favor and tried to use muscle sales tactics and force me to a quick decision, i told him quickly i heard enough and walked away.
got to train someone tonight i think, its a really complicated matter, nobody else wants to train this person, its a long story. Got plenty of long stories here but i just take it as a challenge and believe you me, theres plenty of them here.
burnout is a challenge and a reality but its not something i ever acknowledge because i think its weak minded and i personally dont want to hear about any of it, if 90% gets burned out from workin too much, then i choose to be the 10%, god knows there are plenty of others who do the same, so long hours in my opinion is nothing speacial or exceptional, its a simple choice of deciding to just do it or not and leave it at that......if you burn out, then you burn out but i make a pledge that i will continue with my schedule no matter what. I know what its like to feel a recession and abused by corporations who lead you in circles and make you feel like a moron all for the sake of just wanting to work.
Here in the oil field, its straight up, no resumes, no dicking around, you talk face to face with someone and say you want to work and they give you a fair shot. I think thats fair and square enough and in return i'll show my appreciation by making them happy. They like long hours and so do i, so there you go, go and get it.
see ya guys later.runningman0661 Thanks this. -
