Not sure about airlines as I'm not a pilot. But log falsifacation for trucks isn't a felony. If it was think how many drivers would be sitting it out? Not to mention you'd have to be mirandized durng the inspections. Log falsifaction is handled under "administrative law" that way they can screw you easier.
Most people are caught by telling on themselves. What ever I write I let my logbook speak for me, why TALK to the police if you have a logbook to speak for you? Watch cops soemtimes se who gets who caught? Some ####### talking to much.

    Not hardly.

I know of many drivers who are retired and only run once or twice a month.

Your first cite dosen't say wether it was felony or not?
second one they had to strech it really far to make that case. This guy had made enimies in lots of places if you will read and do a search.
Now lets take a potential real life example joe the driver falsifies his logbook?
first thing they're going to do is put him OSS and write a ticket.
Well he pays ticket and now the feds are going to come and charge him?
Have you forgotten about double jepordy? The FMSCA lets the states handle most of that unless it's something they want really screwed up, then they put their fingers in it. If they ever came to do a audit like that only a idiot wouldn't know theywas after them. At thet point you should shut up and lawyer up.

Felony or misdemeanor you can still spend several months in jail but the Gunther case proved it is a felony .

Yes , he will . I know several he banned . TJPilot , T Cobb , and a few others . I never bothered joining because I disagreed with him enough when he roamed over to the other forum . The U-Ship forums were better than his .

That was a joke. I was banned by him I called him a pimp and panderer of the unknowing. That was back when he was telling everyone to buy a new truck and trailer to haul 75 cent a mile freight. These guys would buy them and six months later you'd see them for sale or they'd go hauling cars.
