I cut my teeth for winter driving there last year. Its not as bad as you think. Just start slow at the summit and stay that way. I agree you'll need to just suck it up and di it. You'll be fine. Hell we drive almost always on ice here that is snow. And they know how to keep the roads clear. Becareful
