Been sitting in Joplin for nearly a week waiting for a "Finisher" to be assigned.
Layover pay not received as promised and Sally Ellis is not returning phone calls.
Left her 3-4 messages and haven't even received a returned phone call.
Others have also left her multiple messages and she's not calling them back either. So, at least it's not just me.
VERY unprofessional!
So much for the whole "Integrity" thing that Con-way talks about, huh?
Integrity is doing what you say you're going to do and Con-way is NOT doing that!!
And so much for the whole "drivers are the most important people in our company and everyone else is support for them", huh?
I guess Ms Ellis missed those memos!!
Very disappointed!!

Wait till you actually get into the groove of things. Your at the bottom of the barrel right now.
-
But don't lie to me in the meantime.
I keep my word and I've kept my end of the bargain. I just want them to do the same in return. -
Were you in orientation in Chattanooga this past week, and then sent over to Joplin?
-
Is there anyone else in the company you can call.? Ms. Ellis may be out on vacation or could be hospitalized and the company might have failed to find a fill in.

One of my "classmates" went to the terminal and tracked her down on Friday.
He said she looked him in the eye and promised she'd have the finisher assignments by 5PM Friday. He has yet to hear from her since.
I wouldn't have an issue if she would just be professional enough to spend two minutes to pick up the phone and return my call, even if it was just to tell me that she was still working on the assignments.
And BTW, she also said the we'd get our layover pay in our payroll on Saturday night.
DIDN'T HAPPEN!!
None of those waiting for finishers got paid. Not even those who know who their finisher is and are just waiting to be picked up. -

Here is my 2 cents worth for the so called "family oriented" company. My husband and I worked there in 2006. He got sick, we went home, he had surgery and we were "administratively terminated" the following day. He was dead 6 weeks later.
I wish the worst suffering on these jerks I can think of. I wish they all would have to deal with heartbreak as I did.
No, they did not cause his death. But the stress of losing the job, no insurance contributed to it. They may as well have done the deed. They are scum sucking monsters.
But then again, I may be a bit jaded? -
Layover-you have to be assigned a truck and a trainer
Sally is one of the real people in the Company partner, and I count most if all on one hand,,need to be patient there,
You think just because your ready it means they are also??? are they not supplying a room for you?
Lets get a few "farts-in-the-seat" before you criticize something you have very little knowledge about.
Sally isnt the only one up there, get on the shuttle in Morning and go upstairs and ask ,Im sure they can give you a pretty good Idea as to when you will be getting on a finishers truck,Hope all goes well with you training and I hope to see you out here!!!
