This must be some obscure provincial law. Glad I don't go to Canada.
-
because in US i never been asked for it. and onestly i didnt know its must thing in Ontario
-
possible. iam not gonna go Ontario ever. its enough load in US so...I DONT RECOMEND TO ANY DRIVER GO THERE. most likely you'll come back with some ticket
-
That seems to be a foreign concept to many.
Pun intended.

Ontario has lots of special trucking laws, i think its mostly just to scare drivers from other countries or provinces, from coming to ontario, which gives ontario carriers, more work!
For example, you must have last 14 days of logs with you, you must have the schedule 1 inspection sheet, you must be speed governed to 105 km\h or less
you must have licence plate numbers of truck and trailer on pre trip inspection sheet, unit numbers are not good enough.
What scale house fined you???
putnam?? -
London, Ontario. do you think its possible to win my case? my ticket says "fail to carry suporting documents/fuel,toll receipts?"
-
Of the rules you mentioned, only the speed limiter is unique to Ontario (and Quebec). All the other rules are applicable to carriers wishing to operate transportation companies subject to the NSC in Canada. It is incumbent upon the carrier and their drivers to follow the appropriate rules and regulations just the same as it is for Canadian carriers and drivers to do the same in the U.S.
BTW, the U.S. has a similar rule, the difference being that the supporting documents must be retained by the carrier only.

absolutely correct, thanks again. and my question is,
if US doesn't has similar to Canada statute saying driver should carry supporting documents, and log book ticket was under Canada jurisdiction, is that mean than i shoudn't worry about Canada giving ticket info to New York and then New York charging me for log book violation??? -
I agree. Why should they care about what happens in another country if they are in a totally different jurisdiction. There has to be something reciprocating.
But the bottom line is you won't loose your license. It's just a slap on the hand the first time. Just make sure your employer knows about it. I'm sure your safety guy if you have one, knows all about the Canada/NY thing if you all go there alot. I would talk with him.
Keep us updated.
